Hardship
Program Overview

The RK Associate Hardship program is administered by Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. For confidentiality, all applications are reviewed by a third party relationship manager.

1
Purpose
The purpose of this charitable program is to support Rural King associates facing economic hardships due to qualifying incidents. It provides assistance for those unable to afford basic living needs such as housing and utilities due to qualified natural disasters, serious illnesses or injuries, life-threatening circumstances, loss of a loved one, or other catastrophic events beyond their control.
2
Eligibility
All RK Administrative Services, LLC associates currently employed part-time or full-time for at least 60 days prior to applying are eligible to seek assistance. To qualify, they must have experienced a defined qualifying incident (see below for details) within 60 days of the application date. Assistance can only be approved once within a twelve-month period.
3
Grants
Grant amounts are based on the incident and expenses, helping associates through crises, not resolving all financial issues. Payments go directly to vendors for essential needs like housing and utilities, not to associates. Grants cannot cover non-essential expenses, legal fees, pre-existing debts, or credit card balances.
